New Event Faces up to Industry Issues

A new event aims to increase awareness of the key issues impacting the agricultural sector while strengthening the ties and fostering collaborations between leading agricultural entities and professionals.

“Supporting the Future of Professionalism in Agriculture,” is a unique ‘Question Time’ styled event and a joint collaboration between the Institute of Agricultural Management (IAgrM), the Council for Awards of Royal Agricultural Societies – English Panel (CARAS-England), The Institute for Agriculture & Horticulture (TIAH), the Farmers Club Under 30’s, and the Farming Community Network (FCN).

It is being held at One Birdcage Walk, London SW1H 9JJ on Tuesday 27th February, commencing at 6.30pm.  Chaired by Ben Briggs, Group Publisher and Editor in Chief at Agriconnect and participants will include Robert Shepherd (IAgrM), Jude McCann (FCN), Milly Fyfe (CARAS), Liz Warner (TIAH) and Eleanor Kay (Farmers Club under 35’s)

The event aims to unite stakeholders across the agricultural sector to engage in a comprehensive and informed dialogue on critical issues affecting the industry. The focus will be on shaping the future of agriculture by addressing essential themes such as Health, Skills, Networking, Knowledge Exchange, and Professionalism.

“With the ever-evolving landscape of agriculture, it’s crucial to come together, share knowledge, and craft strategies that ensure the well-being of our workforce and maintain the highest standards of professionalism,” said Victoria Bywater, spokesperson for the event. “This event is a platform to begin that process – fostering collaborative discussion and innovation.”
